Kate offers a variety of yoga classes, and there is something to suit everyone.  If you're unsure which class is best for you, please get in touch so she can offer advice and help you to choose the best class for you.  Please scroll down for the guide to online classes.



Online and Face to Face Stress Buster Yoga at Yoga You Sanctuary, Liscard, CH44 5TH -

Stress Buster Yoga is a great way to start your week. Yoga poses to bring strength and flexibility to the body, pranayama, meditation and relaxation to soothe the mind and spirit. 

Class numbers are limited to ensure sufficient space between mats

Hand sanitiser is available to use upon arrival and departure.  The room is well ventilated, and also has a HEPA air filter.  The room is cleaned between each class.

The class will be simultaneously Zoomed for anyone who is unable to join the Face to Face class

Gentle Flow yoga classes comprise gently flowing sequences to strengthen the body and improve flexibility.  Each class will include breathing and relaxation techniques to soothe body, mind and spirit.

The holistic nature of yoga means that we include movements that could benefit your shoulders, neck, knees and any other aches and pains.

People often report that their sleep improves after class too !

Rise & Shine yoga classes consist of yoga postures to maintain strength and flexibility whilst moving in a meditative way. Each class will include breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation and culminate in relaxation. Ideal for anyone who is looking for a way to improve their health and well-being in a friendly and welcoming environment.  

Rise and Shine yoga is a great way to start your day, with a variety of movements explored from week to week to strengthen and tone the body, whilst improving flexibility. Classes will include a variety of pranayama techniques, meditation and relaxation.

Online Therapeutic Chair Yoga 

Thursdays 10:15-11:15

Chair yoga is an ideal class for anyone, no matter what age, who would like to come to a gentle exercise class to improve their strength, flexibility, stamina, co-ordination and balance. The class is perfect for those who are convalescing or have mobility problems, or just want to take it easy. A variety of breathing, relaxation and meditation techniques will also be covered, many of which can be used to deal with the ups and downs of daily life. Please wear comfortable clothing to class.

Next courses starting in September 2021



Menopause yoga classes are exclusively for women. Joining together in a small group, we will explore different themes from week to week to consider the myriad of ways that menopause can affect a woman. Whilst menopause is often viewed as a taboo subject, these classes will give women an opportunity to discuss their experiences in a nurturing and supportive environment.


We will use a variety of yogic techniques including hatha, yin and restorative to equip ourselves with skills to help ride the rollercoaster that can be menopause. Breathing techniques are hugely important in menopause yoga, and we cover a variety in class to help women deal with different symptoms. Every class finishes with a lovely, soothing relaxation to ease the body, mind and emotions.


Women of any age are welcome to join the class if they feel they have menopausal symptoms, so feel free to come along whether you're 20 or 100. All that's needed is a willingness to participate in whichever way suits you. The classes are suitable for beginners, and any woman with an interest in optimising her health and wellbeing in the post-menopausal years.


We will cover a variety of topics from week to week, including the many menopause symptoms and consider ways that yoga might help ease these symptoms. We will also consider how yoga can help protect and enhance our health during the aging process.

Online Relax, renew & restore - Restorative Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra 

Third Thursday of the month 19:00-20:30

Restorative Yin yoga is all about holding asana (yoga poses) for longer than you might in a normal yoga class. This gives us the opportunity to release and surrender into a pose, slowly and gently settling into our body. Poses may be held for 3 - 4 minutes, possibly longer, which means we can work into the joints whilst the muscles release and let go. Yin allows us to tune into our feminine energies, cool and hidden, reflective and passive. This is the opposite of Yang energy, masculine, hot and dynamic. There can be no yin without yang - a sense of balance is required to bring a sense of well being and harmony.

Whilst the primary focus of the class is yin yoga, elements of yang yoga will be included to allow for the holistic nature of yoga to shine through.

The class will conclude with a deep relaxation of at least twenty minutes, giving you the chance to restore and soothe your energy levels. If you feel depleted, relaxation will boost your energy. If you feel overwhelmed by too many things to do, relaxation will allow you to settle, reprioritise and refocus.

This yin yoga class is ideal for anyone new to yin yoga, or those who have prior experience. The class will be gentle and meditative, including pranayama (breathing practices), meditation, yin and yang yoga, before culminating with Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation.)

Classes online held on the first Monday and third Thursday of every month.

Please prepare a comfortable area at home with your yoga mat, a few pillows, cushions and a blanket handy. You could light some candles, and play gentle music in the background so make it even more lovely and soothing !

"Just thought I would let you know how I am getting on with yoga in case you get enquiries from other long covid people.

I have been to Gentle Flow , Rise and Shine and the Restorative yoga sessions and been able to do them all without getting breathless or being exhausted later on. I have paced myself a bit and not always done the most strenuous version. This is great as walking and cycling both tire me out quite quickly – its brilliant to be able to get some exercise! All the breathing has helped my breathing, and I have learn some exercises to do at other times, eg Temple Breath. And the self care tips are great too, it is easy to get bogged down in long covid and they are a nice distraction.

The best class for me is the Restorative yoga , I have been to one live class and done a couple of recorded ones as I am busy on Thursdays. I did one last night and then had the most brilliant night’s sleep, which means that today I have more energy and less breathlessness, which is just great.It really was restorative and I would recommend it to anyone with long covid, although of course there are many varieties of long covid and it might not suit everyone."

Outdoor classes - weather dependant !

Outdoor classes, in Kate's garden, or on the beach, may be added to the schedule when the weather looks good.  Once you've booked in you will receive the address.  Please bring everything you need, depending on the weather.  Government guidelines regarding social distancing etc will be followed - of course these may change at short notice.  Unfortunately, access to the house cannot be allowed, so classes will be limited to one hour duration !

Guide to Zoom classes

Online classes are a great way to continue with your yoga practice, or to start a practice if you've never done any yoga before. You can join a class in the comfort of your own home, and even wear your PJ's if that's what you're most comfortable in. Classes are conducted using the Zoom platform, which is extremely user friendly.

A few things to consider before the class starts:-

1) Ensure you have everything ready before class starts - yoga mat, block, blanket, yoga belt (a dressing gown belt or scarf will do if you don't have a yoga belt) and a pillow

2) Login to Zoom about 10 minutes before class starts so you can have a chat, and ensure your technology is working - call Kate if you have any problems

3) Switch your landline and any other wifi devices off to maximise your broadband capacity

4) Only practice to level that feels comfortable for you - please inform Kate of any concerns, either by email before class, or using the Chat function on Zoom during class.

5) Let Kate know if you have any health concerns before the class

6) If you are new to Yoga with Kate, please complete the medical questionnaire before joining class, and read the Disclaimer below.

7) Once the class has started, you can play music in the background at home - it won't disturb anyone else.

8) Classes may be recorded, but will be set up so that only Kate can be seen to protect your privacy.  Class recordings will be available to watch through the BookWhen system and Vimeo.

9) Enjoy it ! Once the class has started, hopefully it will soon feel as though you are in a regular class.
